Aging pets but not humans

In the Pets expansion, I made the mistake of adopting a kitten and a puppy.  They're cute, but I'd like them to grow up.  However, I have my game set to "nobody ages."  One can age a child by throwing a birthday party.  Is there some way to do that for a pet?

  • @Colredes in game options you can change the life span of dog and cat in a pull down menu. Change the span to low (left) and let the animal age up then return it to where it was and turn aging off again.
