purplerocks304 Do you still see your saves and other user content anywhere? It's possible everything is intact but not in the folder the game is currently reading. This can happen if you reenable iCloud Drive and allow it to sync your Documents folder.
Before doing anything else, please run a search for your missing content. Open Terminal, in Applications > Utilities, and copy and paste this command, and enter:
find / -name "*DeviceConfig*" 2>/dev/null
Then post the results here.
Please also let me know whether iCloud Drive is syncing Documents. Open System Settings > Apple ID > iCloud, and if iCloud Drive is checked, click Options next to it and see whether Desktop & Documents is checked off. If it is, decide whether you want to use this feature or not and let me know.
puzzlezaddict thank you!!!! so I located my lost files under Documents > ARCHIVE > Electronic Arts > Sims 3 > Saves... where should I move these to so that they are in the correct spot? And also, this doesn't help the issue of not being about to download my purchases from the exchange, including neighborhoods and items. It keeps triggering the EA app and glitching out.
