I appreciate your help, but I just don't understand why one day it suddenly gave up. Are you basically saying I will have to play sims on another PC?
Your welcome and Yes on a different computer if you have one. The game does have system requirements. Your PC meets the requirements accept for the video card and having a touch screen could cause issues too You need Ram, CPU 2.4 Hz or better plus a good video card. The card should be medium to higher level AMD or Nvidia. No Intel cards especially for the newer EP's.
PS your computer is like a car. It can work one day and give out the next

Thank you 🙂 I'll try load it on my old computer which it use to work smoothly on as I updated the graphics card then too, thank you for the help, I appreciate it just wish EA would have told me this, as they never mentioned any of it!

Your welcome and you have to realize that EA made this game on Vista, they had to try and make it work for XP(now Gone) , windows 7, windows 8 and windows 8.1. It all depends on how your computer is designed as to whether the game will work on your computer or not. EA has no way of known if your vidoo card will just give out but they do list system requirements on their web with accepted video cards and it is on the boxes if you bought the cd's . I have a new computer and a new video card that is not on the accepted list either but it does play the game.

It is only a small portion of your DxDiag but the CPU is low for the game. You have 1.3GHz and minimum is 2.4Ghz. I googled your CPU AMD E-300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (2 CPUs), ~1.3GHz and the sims 3 . people were posting the game was crasing on them.
