Sims 3 Launcher doesn't start

When I try to play Sims 3 the launcher doesn't open correctly so I can play. It either doesn't open completely and has just black where all the buttons would be or it does open but when I hit play it closes and takes me back to my EA library. I tried restarting my computer, I tried app recovery, I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. I tried doing the direct TS3W.exe but there doesn't seem to be an app for that in my game bin. I don't know what else I can do.

    Purpleqween_TTV​  Are you able to connect your computer to a different network?  For example, you could set your phone as a mobile hotspot, using data rather than your home wifi, and connect to that.  This is just a test and shouldn't use much data.

    Please also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

    TS3W.exe should be present but isn't used with an EA App install of Sims 3.
