Brightness Level of Sims 3 Changes on More Than Capable Machine After Patch 1.55

Hello All! I am wondering if anyone can help me out. I have a laptop that is more than capable of running The Sims and all the EPs/SPs that I have, however, I am having an issue with the brightness of the game, if that makes sense. I have an:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz, 2501 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s), and 2 graphics cards- one is integrated and one is dedicated. The integrated on is an Intel HD 4000, and the dedicated is an NVIDIA 650M, 2GB. I currently have 8GB of memory installed with a screen resolution of 1366X768.


I have it set so that my game runs on the NVIDIA card (I think). Basically, here is what happens, I start up my game and everything runs very smoothly. It starts of pretty bright, just how Id want it, and then it gets darker. Not so dark that I can't see but just darker. I have the screen brightness turned all the way up, so it's not that.

Any ideas? Perhaps some NVIDIA settings I need to change? Thank you in advance for any replies?
