can i install sims 3 on two different laptops?
i have an older laptop that sims 3 is on but want to move it to my newer laptop. I try to download it from origin onto the newer laptop but keep getting n error message. Help!

@ChaChaPoof Yes, you can install Sims 3 on multiple computers at the same time. What error are you getting? Please post a screenshot.
see attached. it just says there was an error during startuo. please see the log for more details. but i cannot locate the log

@ChaChaPoof That error usually means the registry keys for the game don't match what Origin was expecting. Please uninstall the game, then clean your computer's registry of all Sims 3-related entries either manually or using a tool like Piriform's CCleaner (the free version is fine). Then clear Origin's cache:

Restart your computer, and run Origin as an admin: right-click on the Origin shortcut and select "Run as administrator." Try to install the Sims 3 base game only, no packs yet. Let me know whether it works.
