Cannot get lifeguard profession
I am unable to become a lifeguard in order to unlock Cay island. I have retired from my current profession. I frequently check city hall, the computer and newspaper for the job to become available but it never does. My athletic skill is level 10 and my charisma is level 5, so I believe my SIm has the requirements to become a lifeguared. I have also tried purchasing and placing a lifeguard chair at the beach and at the community pool hoping that if my Sim sits in the chair the option will become available. Is this a glitch or is there something more I need to do? Please help.
