Cannot Go Home
My sim has graduated but cannot return home. Her cell phone does not work and I cannot click on her. I tried to reset her, but she was deleted from the game.

Ok I was able to get my SIM back to a lot so have interactions but tried to "drop out of university" to go home and samething happened again. So for now just going to work on stuff in the dorm I guess maybe try another degree. Hope this can get figured out soon.
Also not sure if this is pertanent but all of my "roommate" show up in my active household picture. Could it be that because they aren't all leaving that is why my specific guy is stuck? It is tying all my house hold funds to them all.
Steps I did to get back to a lot:
Go into edit town mode
Click Return to Game Setup
Pick the Lot that they previously occupied then Clicked Rent
Sent me back to the dorm with phone working and interactions with items in inventory, people, objects, lots restored.
Still can't get back to the main game but got partially unstuck atleast.

This works.
After I did this, I was able to use my phone to drop out of university, at which point the truck came which took me back to the town... also the other 6 roommates in my dorm became a part of my household and came home with me. I just moved them out in edit town and was able to continue playing my household as if nothing had happened.
My guy still is stuck because when I Dropped out of University it started all over again but now I can't move into a home. This is getting slightly annoying. But I am being patient. Decided to create another family for now but really want that family back as they are the most skilled as I played that family the longest plus my girl was pregnant. But if you roommates moved back with you that is probably the problem for my game as the family my guy belongs to is already almost full as He is married, has 2 cats, and 2 horses. So not enough room for another 6 guys.
Is he a witch ? Just asking cause I saw him waving around his wand but there was no other indication that he was.
In which place/dorm was he staying at Uni ?
Yes he is a witch. He was in the fraternity dorm.

I'll try some more stuff tomorrow but I really fear that it's corrupted beyond repair since it seems your Sim is now homeless.
I would keep the game though and just try another one for the moment.
That would be a bummer but I am planning on holding on to it until I know for sure I can't recover it. I am planning in the same house as I created that first in Edit Town so I have the home which I love. Not sure about my new family.Just wish I had copied the family.

Thanks I did create an account there. WickedFairy83 just like here. Wasn't even aware of that site. I haven't really had problems with my games up until now so it is nice to know where to go to as for help.
Twallan has made a fix. It's a mod though. You should be able to save your game with it. I haven't tried but you'll find instructions in the link I gave you above.

EDIT: Your Sim was going to Uni alone, right ? No other Sims from your hometown ?
Yes He was. The rest of the family was st the house.
I saw at twallan's that it worked for you. Glad you have your family back.
Next time, make sure to save before attending Uni and before going back.

Thanks I wasn't aware there was a problem with the game before I encountered it. You live and learn I guess I will be saving games under a secondary name before going to and before leaving UNI from now on. Thanks again for all your help. Would it be ok to delete those corrupted games?
If you're happy with the way it is now and can play, you can delete them. I don't think there's anything further anyone (but EA but they won't contact you) can do.
