Some mods not showing up in game
Hi, this is my first time posting on anything like this so sorry if I’ve done anything wrong!
As the title says, some of my mods aren’t showing up in the ‘mods scripts’ launcher thing just before choosing a save. I know this is normal for smoothing mods and stuff but even other mods aren’t showing up (the only one that shows up is NRaas Master Controller). Also none of them show up in my game other than the default no intro mod (from when I downloaded the mods folder from Mod the Sims), and NRaas Master Controller (I didn’t test no build sparkles and then deleted it bc I didn’t want it). I’m not sure why master controller has worked but my other mods- including other NRaas mods- won’t?
My file set up is personal documents -> Electronic Arts -> the Sims 3 -> Mods (using the mod folder from MTS)
The Resource.cgf file is in my mods folder. I’ve extracted each zip file so that all the mods I’m trying to add to my mods folder are definitely .package files. I’ve deleted the 5 cache files and check to delete them before trying to add more mods (they’re also not reappearing when I launch the game). I’ve tried restarting my laptop and deleting the mods and re-downloading them but still nothing. I’ve only recently bought the game again around a week or two ago so I don’t think it’s any patch issues and even mods that have are frequently updated don’t work.
I’ve also disabled onedrive syncing and onefile backup of everything. I tried signing out but the whole documents folder disappeared lol. I’ve also unblocked the .package file in properties (when testing NRaas No Fridge Shopping mod) and it continued to not show up in game when I clicked on a fridge.
Sorry this is long, I’m far FAR from techy so I thought I’d give as much info as possible bc I’ve been trying to fix this for a while now and I’m just so stuck. Please help :( thank you x
caity2805 It does look like you've done things correctly, but please confirm that the game is still reading this folder now that you've changed some settings. The DeviceConfig file should show a time stamp from precisely the last time you opened the game. If it doesn't, the mods are in the wrong folder, as in, what the "right" folder is has changed.
If the mods are in the correct folder, it's worth testing with OneDrive out of the picture. You can set up a new, local, admin Windows account, local meaning not linked to your Microsoft account or any email address. Without that link, there's no way for OneDrive to touch your files. Or you can get rid of it on your main account, as described here:

It's your choice what you want to do; the test is valid either way.
