Cannot redeem product codes

HELP!

Ive had sims for about a year and beed playing it alot But not recently, so the box for my sims is broken and the leaflet inside isnt inside. Anyway i forgot my password and made a new one and sorted it out and when i got into my games libray there wasnt my sims ! and it said  that i needed "activation requierd" so i clicked it and it wanted a product code to my unidentified sims 3 game i had played before. but had lost the leflet it had the code on so it said it should be on a email it wasnt so i looked up other ways like cliking on the  game in my libry but it wasnt in my libry so now im totaly stuck and need some help
