Can't create Plumbots

I cannot create Plumbots as the title suggests. I can enter the create a Plumbot creator but once I exit the game puts my camera two levels higher on my house and there's no new bot. The lifetime goals button where new goals appear to be selected flashes a new goal for a brief instant and it immediatly disapears. When I try to purchase a bot no bot shows but a blank portrait does get added to my "family" atthe bottom left. I have tried deleting the DCBackup, CASPartCache, compositorCache, scriptCache, simCompositorCache, and the socialCache. I tried resetting the game and restarting my computer, I also tried deleting my bot workshop and placing a new one in a different location with no luck. I'm so far in my game I am not willing to delete my character since I have maxed all the skills in the game and gotten all lifetime achievement rewards so if anyone has any suggestions or knows this issue and how to fix it I would most appreciative.
