can't find 64 Bit Version of Sims 3
hello and good morning
this is my very first post ever, because I am a bit desperate and would be incredibly happy if someone can help me:
for about a year now I use a Mac. the whole year 2020 I waited for the 64 bit version for the Sims 3. This should now finally be out 🙂
since december i even own my very own macbook with the following key data:
MacBook Pro, 2020, 8GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, M1 processor, Big Sur.
I have activated January 1, 2021 all product keys of my Sims 3 expansion packs and the main game in Origin.
According to the internet, the games should be automatically detected and offered to download the 64 bit version in my game library. And here's my problem: this never happened, when I click on the Sims 3 in my library it just still says "Your system does not support 32 bit games".
I can't find the 64 bit version anywhere else on the internet to download either. I have already written 2 times with EA employees in chat, but they could not give me more than this link:
https://help.ea.com/de-de/help/the-sims/the-sims-3/the-sims-3-mac-64-bit-version/
What can I do?
Do I have to wait until this EA desktop app becomes available for Mac?
Is it like this for others besides me? I have not found any issues with similar problem so far
Also my Sims 4 is always crashing, especially in "Create a Sim"-Mode.. ☹️
Any tips would be greatly appreciated and thanks for listening. Best regards, Nico
@lumpieddililu Unfortunately, the only way to get the 64-bit version is to go back to EA customer support. It's a separate entry in your Origin game library, at least when it's available. It's supposed to be granted automatically to anyone that already owns the game, but that hasn't happened for some players. In those cases, the solution is for a customer support rep to apply the "entitlements," as they're called, for the 64-bit versions of the base game and any additional packs.
If you don't get anywhere with support (again), you can link them these two posts from an EA employee:
If you still don't get anywhere with support, please let me know. A few people have said the same thing in the last few days.
The Sims 4 issue should be solved by enabling vertical sync in the game's graphics options. If you can't get far enough to change the setting, you can instead edit the options.ini file. More details are here:
