Cant get Seasons to launch ????

What's your operating system ?

i am having the same issue, except im on a mac. 

have downloaded it and registered it completely fine, press play and it comes up as katy perry sweet treats then in the game launcher it doesnt even say i own seasons! have even tried going into the game to see if anything is different, no luck!

Showtime came after pets, so that is the latest but that just as a sidenote.

Do you have any DVD/CD emulator programs on your computer ? Any other security programs that might conflict with SecuROM that you didn't try turning off yet ?

I have no emulators and I have turned off Kaspersky Total Security 2013 firewall was deactivated.I also clean booted Windows no help.I think the problem is SecuROM garbage EA uses this still.

I  did have sims 3 installed on old system before mobo change I dont think I deauthorized Sims 3 before change then after the HDD switch seasons would not launch and I have the problems I do.A good question is why would SecuROM stop me from playing seasons and not the numerous other xpansions I have installed or even Sims 3 in general.Everytime I have a issue with TS3 nobody at EA tech support can fix it one time I had a prob with Ambitions crashing and after I loaded family it would crash to desktop. Tech support on phone said my system did not meet system requirments.My computer could play Crysis 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 at the time.Then I found the problem was with the lastest patch at the time and had something to do with TS3 using too much memory .Then I had to download a mod to fix until the next patch which fixed the problem.I really wish someone at EA or on the forums could help me fix this issue.

Don't know if it's SecuRom. That was just a guess 🙂

The symptoms you describe are similar to a problem Windows 8 users have when they have bitDefender installed so I thought maybe it's the same problem with another program.

Wish I could help with all Sim problems people have but mostly it's just a trying to figure out what it could be by asking stupid questions, fishing around in the dark. It's very hard cause there's always tons of info missing and it seems for everyone it's different.

Do you still have any cc installed ? Did you try renaming the user folder to see if user data is the issue ?

OK. If you're up for something a bit more adventurous we can try process monitor.

It's a tool that microsoft provides for download and it tells you exactly if the process even gets started.

I downloaded the program and messed around with it and figured out to use it somewhat things are a little fit confusing still.  I created a filter just to see what TS3EP06.exe was doing without seasons loaded so the game would launch and theirs not alot going on with Process Monitor log file everything loads with success,but then I really dont know what I am looking for and not that familiar with the program.Then I installed Seasons and used filter from TS3EP08.exe I would say their is a whole lot more going 4206 events . Last files in log are SecuROM files so it looks like something tried to load and SecuROM loaded with SUCCESS.Alot of registry files were listed throughout but with success.Also the log with TS3EP06.exe had no SecuROM files named.I am suprised anyone still uses SecuROM after all the stink it produced and still produces.I feel ripped off I hope someone at EA fixes this issue with a patch.I am just curious how  I can fix this issue if it is SecuROM preventing me to play my game.I will never buy another game from EA unless I have a disk.No more digital downloads for me from Origin.
