Cant play my game

My laucher comes up, but the welcome page is blank. Not able to log in.
I press the arrow button to play, it gets to the place where you pick which world to play.....then it just hangs there (im guessing trying to log in)that circle in the middle keeps going around and around.
This started yesterday afternoon.

Also i cant get to the home page (sims3.com)  or the exchange page.  I had the forums bookmarked, I can get here and to my page and thats all.

I use no mods or cc

    EA had me download something, dont know what, but it fixed my problem. yaaaaaaaaaay

    What happens ? Do you get a blank page (website) ?


    What browser are you using ? Did you just install the game or did it stop workding when you changed something ?

    When i try to go to sims3.com, i get a blank page with the little round thing going around and around trying to connect. I can get to the forums, because i have that bookmarked. I can get to my page and thats all. I use windows. I played yesterday morning, no problems. later that afternoon i could not play my game. It gets to the place where you pick the world you want to play in.....with the thing going around and around saying connecting. I've been playing this game for years no problems. Two days ago i did install Island Paridise and In to the future. I've played both fine until yesterday afternoon.

    Can you play if you don't login ?

    Try clearing your IE Browser cache.

    There's also a file in documents\electronicarts\thesims3\downloads that has your email address as file name. Delete that.

    I am not able to login, the welcome page on the launcher doesnt show up.

    It looks like the launcher is trying to login.

    I did clear my ie browser cache and deleted my email address in the file you mention.

    It still hangs there trying to login. and im still not able to get the the sim3 site.

    There was a notice of system maintenance on 2/25 evening.

    Contact a Customer Support game advisor so they can take a look at your account to find out what's going on. Maybe there's something wrong with your account

    Do you know what that was ? Maybe the super patch ? Would be helpful to know what you downloaded to have it fixed. The next person with this issue is sure to thank you 🙂
