can't play sims3 expansion Supernatural
My origin account shows my supernatural expansion, but when i start game it isn't in the game. Sims3 launcher isn't showing it either. What should i do?

I bought it from store, it's a Dvd. None of my sims games are bought from origin, sims3 and pets from steam and i can play them. I have windows 8.
dvd versions of the games or origin versions of the games do not work with steam the way steam works if your base game is on steam then you need the steam versions of expansion and stuff packs
