Thank you, I'm going to test the graphic settings tomorrow, I've been trying to load the old save game after playing a new one, and it doesn't want to load it this way, been waiting quite some time now. It's getting late here so I'll try it tomorrow after I get home from work. To be continued....
I always delete those files after I start playing.
The weather cheat too, I'm very sure all of this happend once I got Seasons installed. There are also a few lots I deleted and I cannot place anything ever. One empty place where I placed a house before, I suddenly couldn't place the same size of lot any longer, had to place a very small one first, delete it and then I could place the size I wanted. So odd. But since I crash this doesn't help any longer xD What the heck with this gaaaame... :o
The Mastercontroller thing, I tried it and it did not work, I still crash.
But I forgot about using it, I think it could get rid of an annoying problem, my sims suddenly can't walk up to their bedrooms anymore, had to click go here go here use the stairs, go here, go to bed step by step, seeing as this happend again in that new save I played for 30 minutes, it fixed that.
Few questions though
-> If I save my sim family to the bin and start a new game, will they lose all their skills and things I build up with them? I understand they lose all their friendships.
-> What about if I decide that they move to a different town? I have Bridgeport and Riversomething.
@Xaphane7 If you save your sims to the bin, they keep their skills, and their jobs as well, provided the rabbitholes for their jobs exist in the world where you later place them. If you'd like to take a number of sims to a new world, you may want to look into NRaas Porter, which would allow you to pack the sims together and preserve their existing relationships.
If you're packing an extended family, be sure to include any gravestones that tie the branches together; you can put the graves in the new world once the sims are unpacked. Otherwise, as an example, cousins won't still be cousins without their grandparents being present in some way, even dead, in the new world.
If you want to move the sims to a different world, it's still best to save them to the library, quit to desktop, start a new save in that world, and then place the sims. If you'd like to save their house, save it separately, after evicting your sims, whether you're going to place them in a new world or a copy of their old one.
In case you're not aware, it's never a good idea to switch saves at the Main Menu. The data from the first save loaded doesn't get completely flushed, and bits of it can be superimposed on the second save. So if you did manage to get the second one to load, you might have some serious corruption or other unwanted glitches on your hands. One notorious example is a group of ghosts that should be in the graveyard instead living on a community lot, but other problems aren't always that obvious.

I thought it was the traveler mod who did that? Not sure but I'll look into that porter mod. I'll try it if this save becomes unplayable.
Putting all the graphics down to a minimum unfortunately didn't help, the game still crashes when I try to place a lot.
And sims are creepy as hell on minimum graphics :')
Going to have to see what else there is. I think this save is pretty much corrupted already.

@Xaphane7 With Traveler, your sims can vacation in another world, then go through the process of buying a vacation home, moving into it, and changing their hometown. The original world stays connected—your sims could go back for a visit—and all relationships are preserved. With Porter, you're essentially packing sims together as one giant Library entry and then unpacking them in a new save. They'll maintain relationships with the other packed sims, but there won't be any trace of the previous world.
It does unfortunately sound like this save might be on its last legs. One other thing you could try is running the game in a clean boot, with no other apps open, and Origin (if you use it) in offline mode. If the issue is the demands the game places on your system, then maybe it'll help.

Yeah I think so too. Every time my sims all left home, they suddenly can't go upstairs anymore to their beds, they just stand outside near the wall that is closest to their beds :/ They are so dumb :') Resetting everything with Master Controller is the only thing that will fix this but I have to do it almost every simday now. And suddenly their homework is gone and I can't recover it for some reason.
I think I'm going to try to porter thing tomorrow. I'm so done with this save and it's drama. I installed alot of mods along the way, some not competable with the other, so I bet that caused alot (and when I say alot I mean ALOT) of problems that causes me more to find out what is happening and doubting my poor computer than having actual fun of the game itself. The game itself is so enjoyable. I also bought sims 4 on a steam bargain but I can't leave my precious family...
The traveler thing also sounds fun. Do you need a different world installed for it, or does it need an expansion?
