Crashing after building walls

I have recently updated my game to 1.50. Ever since the update I have been having trouble with saving after I use build mode. At first, every time I build a wall, then excited build mode and tried to save, it would crash to desktop. Now for a while I have been able to build first floor walls, a few squares at a time. But just today I tried to build a second floor wall and it's back to crashing during any save after exciting build mode. This is infuriating! And super depressing.

I am running Windows 7, and have WAY more than enough RAM and HD space for the game. Also my graphics card and CPU are more than adequate.

I do have lots of EA Store custom content in my game, but I did try uninstalling ALL of it, and running a vanilla-ish version. The problem has persisted so far.

Thank you for any and all help and advice.

Ok, so after spending a while with EA Customer Service, and a REALLY nice representative I can't remember the name of, we figured it out.

About 2 days after the patch came out a new driver update came out for my NVIDIA card. THAT is what cause my game to crash every time I tried to save after building walls.

After updating my driver it did fix the problem, but I still had to start a new save file, because the old one was permanently corrupted.

All you have to do to update is go into your device manager in your control panel and find out what INVIDIA card you have. (if that is in fact the type of card you're using.) Then go to the NVIDIA website, click on the Drivers link, and type in the type of card you have. (Mine is an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450) When you type in your card info it will pull up the most recent update for you and you can download it strait from their site.

Thank you ! I will give that a try and get back to you. It was driving me crazy trying everything I could think of to fix this 🙂

EDIT: This did not work, but thanks for the suggestion.

It's a common issue. Would be great if you could add you voice to the linked thread and add any info you can give.

Maybe it'll help the gurus to figure out what's wrong.
