@SimMinnie79 It's been almost three years since the 64-bit version of Sims 3 was released, and the only patch we ever received was a couple days after that. So while EA hasn't officially announced that no more updates are coming, the likelihood is quite low. I don't think it's that EA is ignoring the thread so much as there's no one from EA working on Sims 3 at all. To be clear, that's my impression from the lack of updates or announcements, not inside information.
As for spamming EA with requests, I doubt it would have any effect at all. If there's no one available to work on Sims 3, that's that. And between Sims 4 and Project Rene, I would guess that everyone is already very busy with projects that, unfortunately, have a much higher priority.
@puzzlezaddict I get what you are saying, and you are most likely right.
However, why would they release a new version of the game and not work on it or update it? They should know by now that releasing new games/packs always have glitches.
It's quite disappointing after all the money I spent on this game all these years to not be able to play it as intended (or as other get to do).
Also, the game is still being sold, right? For money? It's not free, is it? Then they should keep it updated.
I'm just so frustrated as I love this game. I just wish EA would say SOMETHING. Anything.

It would be nice if they could confirm that they’re not working on this any more. And/or sell the packs at a greatly reduced price, given the way we can’t access some of the key features, especially Island Paradise. If they’re not planning to fix them, they should add a warning on the sales page for the Island Paradise pack that the key features advertised aren’t accessible to Mac players. Otherwise it’s misleading advertising.

Blows my mind this hasn't been fixed yet.
