@rachelwdg Apple computers run macOS; iOS is the operating system for phones and tablets. I take it you've installed Big Sur?
What happens when you try to play? If you get an error message, please either copy the exact message and post it here, or take a screenshot and attach it to a post.
yes, Big Sur.
When I try to play I get this error message "Não foi possível iniciar o jogo
O teu Jogo de Base de Os Sims™ 3 não é compatível com o actual Pack de Expansão de Os Sims™ 3. Actualiza o teu jogo através do programa de lançamento do jogo."
ENG: "Could not start the game Your The Sims ™ 3 Base Game is not compatible with the current The Sims ™ 3 Expansion Pack. Update your game using the game launch program."
I've already updated, uninstalled and the installed again, tried to update and repair with Origin but still get this error.

@rachelwdg Open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and delete the file labeled Version.tag.

Does anyone have any other tips or recommendations? I can't find the version tags to delete

@kendraheath2 I'm guessing you do in fact have a Version.tag file, but either you're not looking in the correct Documents folder (check the one on your hard drive, not in iCloud), or you're searching for it. The file won't show up in a spotlight search; you have to manually open the folders it's in.
If you still can't find the file, open Terminal (it's in Applications > Utilities), copy and paste this command, and enter.
find / -name "Version.tag" 2>/dev/null
Please post the results here. You can write [username] instead of your actual username, but leave the rest of the file path(s) intact.
