There’s this weird black overlay on the sims 3 lashes for Mac. I thought it was my custom content/mods. But when I deleted them, the overlay was still there. Apparently this has been an issue for a year now. I would greatly appreciate it if EA could fix this.
@pxyonce26 I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue. If you don't want to wait for a fix, which may never come, you can reduce all your sims' eyelashes to the shortest length (or use a mod to remove them) and then add custom lashes, which shouldn't be affected.
Hello, I just got the Sims 3 today and while creating my first Sim I realized the eyelashes were abnormally blocky, and it's not because of any mod/cc since I just got the game and didn't add anything, please help.
@Vanini147 I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue. This affects everyone with the 64-bit version of Sims 3. The only workaround is to set your sims' eyelashes to the minimum length and use custom content eyelashes instead.

Hey — in addition to deleting / shortening EA eyelashes and using custom eyelashes, I found another mod-based workaround that retains the normal 32-bit EA eyelashes. I don't think I can link it here, but MTS's Slamyy has come up with a fix called "Solid Black Eyelash Fix for 64-bit [TESTERS WANTED]", and you can find it by googling it or looking on MTS's creator feedback forum. I've tried it and it works well.
it’s been 4 years and it’s still not fixed..
they can’t care less about us mac the sims 3 users
Don't think it will ever get fixed, I really want to play it again so I'm just thinking of ignoring it.
