I am no builder but I wanted to apply a dirt patch for my Sim’s garden. I had the same issue as others. It would apply and then delete when I tried to do the next patch so I just painted and gave up.
Today when I loaded my save I was surprised to find the dirt patch right where I had been to put it. So it works after a fashion, just not straight away.

Its kinda sad that they did not fix this. I guess the one patch we got for the MacOS release was is. Back to Parallels then, I guess :/

Can you explain to me how to use Parallels?

@romeiojohnson Here's a good place to start:

However, if you're going to install Windows, you'd get better performance running the game through Bootcamp instead. The graphics drivers provided by Parallels are pretty bad, wherease the ones in Bootcamp are fine. Additionally, your Mac would only need to run one OS at a time rather than splitting resources between both.
And of course it's cheaper to buy only the Windows 10 product key you'd need for Bootcamp than it is to buy the key and the Parallels subscription.
On the other hand, if you'd like to troubleshoot your current issue, maybe we can address it enough that you can keep playing in macOS, without the need for either of these approaches.
