I can't find where anyone else has reported this so apologies if I missed it.
I am playing in a custom world and it is winter time so lots of snow and snow storms. I play with the walls half down in my houses and have just noticed gaps in the walls. It seems to depend on the angle but the gaps also appear in neighbouring houses too. I took this photo from inside my sims' house. You can see there is a big piece missing from the top of the wall.
I have just played through University in the winter and I didn't see this graphics glitch there so it is strange to see it now. Winter has only just begun in this neighbourhood and the graphics glitch came with winter.
It doesn't do anything i.e. my game doesn't crash or run slower or anything. It's just a minor annoyance and disappears if I change the angle. It's just a bit odd.
@Dorabella123 That's definitely strange, but it actually looks to me like what's happening is that the road is showing in front of the walls. Is that what you see when you change the angle? I did see one other comment that looked to be the same issue, but that person never got back to me, so I don't know if the effect was consistent or if maybe there was something else going on with the walls.

To me, it's more like there is a strip missing from the walls so you can see the outside but I can see in the photo where it looks like the road outside is overlapping the walls.
It can get worse than the picture I posted but other times it will just be a thin strip of see-through wall.
Editing to add some more pics. These were intended as pictures of the sims rather than the glitch but you can see it happening on a different floor of the same house and No 3 is in another house in the same neighbourhood.

@Dorabella123 The first two screenshots look like there might still be a road outside; I can't tell what's going on with the third. If you let me know which world(s) and lot(s) are in your screenshots, I can take a look myself. Or, if you're comfortable, you can upload the save to a free filehosting site and send me the link. If you don't want to post it in this thread, feel free to PM me the link instead.
Either way, I'll take a look, but it'll have to be tomorrow... or rather, later today when it's not the middle of the night.
Please also attach your deviceconfig.log, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. I think you might have provided it before, but it would be helpful to have it specifically in this thread, so anyone else with the issue can compare hardware or graphics settings. As always, feel free to delete your user and comptuer names, about 20 lines down, but the file doesn't contain any other personal information.
- Dorabella1235 years agoSeasoned Veteran@puzzlezaddict That is very kind of you. It is a custom world though. Not sure if you want to go to that much trouble. However, I will provide links tomorrow and you can decide. I attached my device log from today in the first post.
