@amycoLLiNs4518 Some issues are more fixable than others, but I can try. Please start by attaching your deviceconfig.log, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. You'll neeed to manually open the folders; the file won't show up in a search. You can delete your user and computer names, about 25 lines down, but there's nothing else in that file that can identify you.
Please also let me know what world(s) you're playing in, and which packs you have installed.

@amycoLLiNs4518 How does the game run on the lowest graphics settings, in windowed mode, in Sunset Valley? I'm not saying you need to play this way going forward, just that it's useful to try to find a baseline where the game is relatively stable and go from there. In particular, the world of Isla Paradiso is still so broken that it can freeze or crash on any system, so it's not a useful way to measure performance.
It works great with what you suggested! No freezing or even the slightest lag at all! I do want to mention all my expansion packs also still say finalizing.
