[Current Issue] Sims 3 doesn't open, Windows 7

@puzzlezaddict Only today I was able to calmly deal with it and I confirm that all I had to do was uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. I didn't even complete the previous steps. I am so grateful to you because I was really losing hope that I would play The Sims 3 again. It's good that there is someone like you who helps other players. Thanks again!

Thanks @adrianna456 @Patka4422 and @Oumie-x for confirming this works.  I've moved all your posts to their own thread about the issue in Windows 7 for (hopefully) more visibility for other affected users.
