I am having some trouble running Sims 3.
"A serious error has occurred while loading 'sunset Valley.sims3'. It is strongly recommended that you restart the application."
This message appears, regardless of which one I open.
Here is a rundown of the troubleshooting I've done so far:
I have deleted the cache files. I have un-installed sim3 entirely, as well as the EA app. I have wiped my pc, and reinstalled windows. I have installed all updates. I have updated and reinstalled all of my drivers. I did find that uninstalling the program wasn't removing all of the folders, so I have had to manually removed the Electronics Arts folder after uninstalling.
Now, when installing the base game alone, it runs fine. But if I install any expansions that is when I get the error message.
I am running Win 11

Following, I am having the same issue! Except I just installed the game for the first time on this PC (this was my childhood game) and the same error message is coming up when I try to load any of the worlds. Even when I deselect all of my packs and try to load only the base game, the same thing happens.
