ksanti2009 Okay, I think there are two things going on here that I may have conflated. Does the EA App open at all? I see the error that EALauncher.exe doesn't exist, but you don't technically need to use that. You could instead open the same folder:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop
and launch the EA App using EADesktop.exe. You can also create a shortcut to it by right-clicking and selecting Send to > Desktop (shortcut).
If you don't see EADesktop.exe, restart your computer and delete the first EADesktop folder, then download a fresh copy of the EA App installer and run it as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."
Once the EA App is open, and fully loaded (you can see your game library, friends list, etc.), what happens when you try to play Sims 3? The "serious error" message is usually OneDrive-related, but if you're getting a different error now, or none at all, please describe what you see.
