Can't register disc dlc

I've bought Island Paradise and the Pets expansion packs as physical disc copies around 2013-2016. I still have the discs and cases it came in, and have been trying to register them onto my account so I wouldn't have to spend more money.  I went to TheSims3.com site but the serial number required is longer than whats on my case and my disc and comes invalid. I've been wondering if its still possible to register without having to buy an external disc drive for my Windows 10 PC.

  • Z0MBURGERZ  You should have a 20-character code on an insert inside the case.  (The code wouldn't be printed on the outside, since anyone could steal it.)  The button to use on the Sims 3 site is "Register a Game"; the "Redeem a Code" button is for Store worlds and other bonus content.

I looked in the inside of the cases and couldn't find a 20-character code. I saw the patent numbers and tried them, but they also came invalid, and didn't meet 20 or it exceeded 20.

  • Z0MBURGERZ  Whatever you're finding isn't the proper code then.  Unfortunately, there's no way to register your content without codes.  EA doesn't support secondhand purchases or allow the original buyer to sell the content, so customer service won't help unless the player has codes that haven't been used or that can be traced back to their own account.

I understand you don't want to spend more money on EPs you've already bought, but if you change your mind, there are frequent sales in the EA App where Sims 3 DLC is 50-60% off.  And that's from the current prices, which are half of what they were (for EPs at least) on release.  So the price you'd pay wouldn't be anywhere near what you paid the first time around.
