[Current Issue] Sims 3 "serious error" when loading save

Since The new update, I can't play Sims 3. I pick my game to play or try to make a new one and it goes to a new screen and says "A serious error has occurred while loading "bridgeport.sims3". It is strongly recommended that you restart the application. 

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the game. but it is still doing it. 

Any ideas on how to fix the game?
