I followed the instructions to use a custom sim as my avatar from here https://help.ea.com/article/how-do-i-create-an-avatar-on-thesims3-com but my sim didn't appear under the uploads, so I clicked the link on the page and followed these instructions https://help.ea.com/article/how-do-i-upload-a-sim-to-the-sims-3-exchange and it still didn't work. Is there anyway I can make a custom avatar? :P The Sim I want to use is uploaded to the exchange, but from there I am stuck.
Does the Sim show in your account under uploads or still not ?
If so, you go here: http://mypage.thesims3.com/myProfile.html and make sure you choose Avatar.
There should be a little drop down box that says default avatars. Click on the Uploaded Avatar and choose the one you want.
I really don't know why some stuff doesn't show up.
Did you use custom content on your Sim ?
Shouldn't.
Did you use any special characters in the name ?
Try re-exporting your sim and give him a real simple name like xyz or whatever. No spaces no nothing.
Then try uploading again.
