    Yes, it is true that if you do not have enough (or none at all) dedicated video memory your graphics hardware will use your system RAM.

    While you may be able to start the game, the player experience will not be as intended.

Since it is the intel integrated graphics it is designed to use the system RAM, looking at the requirement they have listed Intel GMA X4500, and i think a HD5500 is better than that. So you should be able to run the game.
