deep fryer issues

So, for the past week or so I have been having issues with the deep fryer on my sims 3 game. everytime they make something, it never gets cooked. they leave the deep fryer, and keep cooking, but it never finishes or anything. I saw a fix on a website earlier for a mod, but when I went to it the account was susspended. if anyone knows another fix please let me know
