I found updates for all 3 - java , flash player and adobe air.
There was also an update for my video card and a couple for Windows. These are still installing.

I thought I had my pc set to update automatically.hope you be waiting too long for the updates 🙂

I got everything you suggested updated and I checked for updates for my anti-virus and my system mechanic (both of which were up to date) and restarted my sims launcher. . . . . . . .and still have that **bleep** red X.
