Do I have to buy The Sims 3 in order to play The Sims 3 pets expansion pack?
I registered the pet game but it keeps asking me to download the Sims 3. Im so confused on what to do. First timer.

Yes you have to purchase and install/download The Sims 3. The Sims 3 Pets is an expansion pack and requires the base game in order to play. All expansion packs and stuff packs require this.
