Do you need internet to update sims?
I want to update my game because I have content to download and it's telling me that I need to update and on my actual computer I have no internet

You can download the patch on a different computer that has internet from here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Patch-1-67/td-p/67858/
Then copy the file to your computer without Internet and run it from there.
