lacy9265 Please create a new admin account on your Mac. Don't link it to your Apple ID (you can skip this step). Open the EA App and repair the game (Sims 3 > Manage > Repair), then try to download and install one Store item.
If this doesn't work either, please let me know whether you use a third-party antivirus or some kind of cleaner app.
