EA App detects Sims 3 is running when it's not

Question

I recently switched from Origin to the EA app and now I've had this issue where I will exit TS3 as normal and the app will still detect it as running. It won't let me exit the EA app and it shows the game is still open, not letting me run it.

I've checked thoroughly with task manager and it's not running the game/launcher/anything. This is the only game I've had this issue with. Every time I have to pull up task manager and force exit the EA app because it just refuses to work. I've cleared cache and reinstalled, but still the same issue.

@cursdgamerchild&nbsp; Try uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App.&nbsp; Clear its cache first:

@cursdgamerchild&nbsp; Does this happen if you put the EA App in offline mode before launching Sims 3?&nbsp; I've never seen this particular error before, so I'm trying to narrow things down here.

If you use an antivirus, please also try disabling it while you play; your computer should be safe as long as you don't do anything else.&nbsp; And let me know whether OneDrive is running, even if you never use it.&nbsp; It would be strange for OneDrive's syncing activity to make the EA App think the game is still open, but the App is quite invasive and acts in somewhat illogical ways, so who really knows.

@puzzlezaddict Offline mode did actually fix this, but it happened again once I went back online. I don't have OneDrive installed and I whitelist all my games and launchers from my antivirus to avoid any such conflicts.

@cursdgamerchild&nbsp; Try disabling any overlays, notifications, and anything else you can reach within the EA App's settings.&nbsp; Or you can continue to play with the App in offline mode and hope this issue gets patched—the App is still very much a work in progress, with a number of features currently getting attention.
