Error 327682:0 for MAC

When trying to install Sims 3 I kept getting this error message. It was a brand new download and regardless of allowing Origin full system access, turning off firewall and anti virus, re-installing Origin and restarting. After an HOUR of trying to figure out how to install it without the error I came across this forum: https://bluebellflora.com/no-install-option-in-origin-for-sims-3-for-mac/ which FINALLY gave me the proper information to manual install without Origin. Which is when I realized that the reason Origin wasn't working was because

“The Sims™ 3 Installer” needs to be updated. "The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information."

So in short, if you running OS Catalina, you can't install The Sims 3.

Hopefully this helps other people avoid frustrations this Christmas Morning...

@majahave and @orivaeables There hasn't been any more information on the planned Sims 3 update since that announcement in October. I doubt EA will say anything until the release is imminent, but you can always monitor the Sims 3/Mac section on this site, or the Sims 3 section of the official forums, for news.

@Mya_Simmer_3 This comment made me laugh! 'Fight with the computer' 😆 - I was told via online to uninstall 'Origin', by an advisor, now I cant get hold of them, to then realise I may as well check google and found out I cant use Sims 3 because I have the latest version of CATALINA😔 .... its been a while and I am hoping the developer would have fixed it by now! Because like you said, its money down the drain if not being able to play.

I know it's been a few years but the 64-bit version is actually out now. I'm attempting to download the sims 3 64-bit version on my mac though and it's giving me this same error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled origin, did a clean-boot, and i don't have my firewall on nor any virus scanners. I have literally no idea how to get it to install at this point.

@HaileyEA Are you definitely trying to download the 64-bit version of Sims 3? The tile should say 64-bit on it:

If you are selecting the correct version of the game, please list the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac (including the OS) except for the serial number.
