Ok. Did some self testing, tried out several mods and came to the conclusion: We have several issues here (yeah, nothing new) and some of them are related and some are not.
Sim goes home without having 48 credits yet
Seems to work ok most of the time if it's the first degree your Sim is doing. Could be an issue if your Sim already got corrupted somehow at an earlier degree
Sim completed the 48 credits and has a graduation
Inviting people to your Graduation
If you invite people from University, the duplicate in your relationship panel once the graduation starts which leads to serious issues (Sim and Phone unclickable).
I don't know how reproducible the duplication is, for me it worked every time. It might be important who you invite, depending on whether they graduate with you or not. For me both Sims duplicating did not. One was actually a professor.
Your Sim might be able to go home but the will never make it back to Uni cause they Uni info is bugged.
I'm unsure what type of problems occur if you invite someone from Home. I still need to test that out.
Problems at the graduation itself
- Sims don't change into their graduation robe
- Sims don't get the extra trait
- Sims don't get their diploma
- Sims don't even go into the Anex
It's possible that one or more of the above happen and it seem if they don't get their Diploma, they are stuck at University.
Getting early to the Anex seems to help but it could also be that the robe outfit gets corrupted and that is the reasons for not getting the stuff you should.

- The bus arrives but Sims are dropped off at the corner
- The bus never comes and the game just load the home screen
- Sims get interrupted by something that leaves them at Uni.
At this point, it's really hard to tell what's causing this. Seems it doesn't matter if you get your diploma or not but if you don't, it seems more common.

ErrorTrap definitely cleans up the relationships but you're gonna see some weird behavior until it does. A reset with MC might also be necessary.
At this point, it seems all very inconclusive to me but there a few things you can do
- Don't invite anyone
- Always save before your Sims graduation (and also before he goes home and before he goes to Uni
- Get to the Anex early
This bug and the not arriving are certainly connected and it might be happening more often to Supernaturals then others, so I'm adding that question to the first post.
If you wanna help figure out this issue, there's one of two things you can do
1. If your not opposed to put in a mod, please put in MC, OW, Traveler and ET and post any scriptErrors you get at Twallan's forum
2. If you do not wanna try mods, send me your save game (only if you play in an EA world). I'm going to try out some stuff.
here's what you need to do
- Zip the whole folder with your save game and upload to some file sharing site that does not require registration to download (I prefer mediafire)
- Send me the link via my blog (guest book) or a private message at the AnswerHQ.
