Error code -5006 when trying to update Sims 3

Hello, 

recently I had to uninstall all my Sims and re install the base game and all my expansion packs. When I finished installing them it says "Your Sims 3 base game is incompatible with the current expansion pack. Please update your game via game launcher." So I try to update it and about 60% through I get this error code "an error (-5006: 0x80070005) has occurred running the setup." then continues to say if problem still occurs please contact our vendor.. I tried updating 3 times and this has happened each time. Any idea what to do? I never had a problem until I tried reinstalling everything :S
