Everything Is Squished

My sims 3 resolution is doing great, but the entire screen itself seems to be a little squashed. Everything didn't look as if it used to be before I updated to the windows ten. My control panel even looks smaller than it used to be. My sims seemd squished and much taller than they were before I updated. I understand this is a bit of a complex question, but any suggestions?

    Make sure you have the latest Windows 10 video drivers. Then open the video control panel and set the resolution where it should be which should be the native resolution of your display.
