The sims freeze, I can still see the plumbob moving, I can still hear the sounds, can't move the camera. What could it be? This happens every few seconds and lasts for 10 seconds or more. I have been resetting sims and deleting mods and CC. I have been looking into this for an hour now and getting very frustrated.
I have base game, late night, generations, pets, outdoor living, ambitions, university, and Island Paradise installed. The freezing happens more frequently and lasts longer when trying to play in Isla Paradiso. I want to play what seemed to be an awesome expantion pack and get my money's worth.
I was able to play the game for a year, on and off, up to now with almost no issues so I don't think its my computer.

Are you freezing and lagging in other towns too?
Yeah its just when I'm in Isla Paradiso. Usually even when its not freezing it won't let me snorkel or do any new stuff like that but when I'm in Sunset Valley I can snorkel and no freezing.
I'll try some of those fixes, thank you. They should really fix this in the next patch, if there is one.
