Game is not launching

I purchased the sims 3 using the EA app 2 days ago, I played for 2 hours with no issues. The game crashed with no explanation or warning, and my game did not save. Since then Ihave tried to go back in and create a new game.

I am able use the launcher and enter the game, but when I select a world to start a new game in, I get the error message "a serious issue has occurred while loading sunset valley it is strongly recommended to restart the application and try again. 

I have un-installed and then re-installed the game, the EA app and the launcher. I have made sure my computer meets the minimum requirements for the game to run.
