Game launcher small

Spycoo16  The font is indeed odd and a bit large.  Do you use any Windows accessibility features or some kind of font replacer?  That's where I would look first.

However, this isn't going to help with scrolling through your items.  Even at the launcher's standard size and spacing, the launcher only shows four items at a time.  If you need to scroll through your installed content frequently, I'd suggest converting any custom content to .package files, which will prevent it from showing up in the launcher at all.  (And you'd install it into Mods > Packages rather than adding it to Downloads.)  If you don't know how to do this, look up Delphy's Multi Extractor.  Note that this doesn't work with Store content, which is encrypted.

puzzlezaddicthello. Yeah I tried to include a side by side of my browser because the font of everything else is regular, its just my game launcher that has shrunk. Its like 4 inches wide and long. I clicked my sims 3 icon to play and then it popped up like this, after having never been this size. Should I adjust screen size or something in game? My settings are 800x600 right now, maybe I should make it bigger? 

Spycoo16  Your in-game resolution is 800x600, or your monitor is running at that resolution?  What DPI scaling are you currently using?  It would be listed under Windows Settings > System > Display.

puzzlezaddictmy computer display is 2880x1800 but my game is 800x600. I used to load my game in the hidden icons section on my taskbar, the sims 3 icon would always appear. I would just double click and it would open normally. When this was the way I opened my game, the desktop icon would neverrr work even when i triple, quaduple clicked. But randomly when I logged on yesterday, the hidden icons sims 3 launcher disappeared, and now I can only load it through double clicking the desktop icon. But its this weird size.

puzzlezaddictOk, I found it but I have 3 difference applications. I went to the most recent pack I have installed, late night (because that is the disc that I use in my external harddrive), but it has three sims 3 launcher applications. IDK which one to click? Shoud I delete some of them and is this the reason my launcher is acting weird? I didnt even know I had three applications. 

OK I opened them all. The top one opens the shrunken launcher, the second one does as well, and the last one takes me directly to the game, no launcher.

Spycoo16  Do you have a Sims3Launcher entry in [install location]\The Sims 3\Game\Bin?  If so, please try that one instead.

The third entry is supposed to start the game directly.  Whenever you don't need to use the launcher, I'd suggest using that to launch the game instead, just to save however much time it takes for the launcher to load.  You can make a shortcut for it as well.

puzzlezaddictIt worked 😁! I have a question. Whats the difference between the Sims3LauncherW and Sims3Launcher? 

I clicked the Sims3Launcher one and it opened a normal sized launcher up but the launcher homepage looks like this: 

I dont mind if it looks like this but my question is that is this okay with the EP disks? I read that the EPs must be played in order, so the latest EP uploaded to your computer is the launcher you should load.  I use my Late Night disc so I thought I had to use my Late Night launcher to prevent glitching. Should I just replace my desktop shortcuts with the only launcher that is sized normal ? I have sims3, world adventures, ambitions, and late night shortcuts on my desktop but I  think if the Sims3Launcher opens the normal looking launcher, I should just have only that on my desktop, right?

Spycoo16  The way Sims 3 launched changed several times in its lifespan, so although you need to insert the LN disc in order to play, you don't need to use the Sims3LauncherW that's inside the LN folder.  If what you're using starts your game, you're fine.  And yes, you can replace the shortcuts with just this one.  I would still suggest creating a TS3W.exe shortuct in case you'd like to skip the launcher at times.

Sims3Launcher.exe and TS3.exe, both without the W, were not used (ever, as far as I know) until patch 1.69, when players were required to launch the game from Origin, and now the EA App.  I don't know why they were even present in earlier installs.  A disc install uses Sims3LauncherW and TS3W only.

puzzlezaddictThanks so much for the help. I made a shortcut for the Sims3LauncherW, and removed my other sims 3, my world adventures, late night and ambitions.
