"Game process could not be started"

Sorry, didn't mean to accept as a solution. Here is other pertinent info.

Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Graphics ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB

Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)

From what I'm reading on the Sims 3 board, probably every mac user on the planet is affected.

Did anyone try cutting the I-net connection and play offline ?

You can revoke the accept as solution from the drop down menu.

I thing every mac user is affected. Can't help any further cause it's late here.

Same problem, just started today. I have not made any changes to my computer or game, including patches, updates or downloads, since the last time it worked (probably 3 days ago). Have tried restarting my computer, but I get the same thing every time: Launcher works fine, play button pulls up the initial loading screen, then I get the "Game process could not be started" error, another loading screen, and the error again. Disabling custom content doesn't change anything, and my CC all comes from the EA Store anyway. 

System Specs:

Mac OS 10.8.1

1.8 GHz Intel Core i7 MacBook Air, 4GB RAM

Yes! I just turned off wi-fi and got it to load! It's still loading in the background, so turning wi-fi back on didn't hurt. Thanks for the suggestion! If only I hadn't wasted my entire lunch hour trying to fix it, I could play right now... haha. 

I keep getting this error message when i launch the Sims 3. I have restarted my comnputer, and i have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I dont know what else to do. Please help

Are you on a mac ? It seems it's server related.

So I recently bought the Sims 3 Supernatural from Amazon (digital download). I've been playing it for over a week with absolutely no issues. Today, when I tried to play, the game wouldn't load. The launcher loads and starts, but once I press play I get a message that says, "The game process could not be started." I assumed this was from the custom content I downloaded. So I removed my content and tried again. But I still got the message. After looking around online I learned how to bypass the launcher, and although it worked in the past for other people, that solution still did not work for me. As a last effort, I tried uninstalling the Sims 3 Supernatural, and running it. That did not work. I reinstalled it, thinking that maybe I accidentally deleted an important file. That still did not work. These are my computer specs: Mac OS X, version 10.6.8, 2 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, with 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 for Memory. I am extremely frustrated and really just want to play the game. I have the Sims 3, World Adventures, Town Life Stuff, Late Night, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Ambitions, Fast Lane Stuff, Generations, and High End Loft Stuff. I have been searching the internet for hours looking for an answer. All the similar problems I found were from years ago, and were fixed by bypassing the launcher. 

Hey there!  As of this morning I was unable to play Sims 3 on my Mac, it keeps giving me the error message "The game process could not be started".  First I uninstalled and reinstalled my game and updates (ambitions, outdoor living stuff, pets and supernatural) since that usually works for any hiccups I have.  Since that didn't help,  I looked in the SIms 3 Forum for Macs and followed the directions at this link http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/549552.page but the manual update did not help for my game.  Please help!
