it is still not working! i downloaded and then when i tried to click on the base game application and update in the finder window, it said the application could not be processed. i've been doing this literally all day and all night for over 2 days. what could i be doing wrong? at this point i dont care if i lose all my saved games as long as the stuff i bought at the sims3 store and all my expansion packs are still there. i am EXHAUSTED
did you double click the actual file? ignore sims completly.. once you downloaded the file for the superpatch double click it to install make sure even in the background that origin or the launcher is not running at all.
Hey, I've got a same problem you dealt with.
"you cannot apply this patch on this version of the application. " please re-install.
This message will pop up when you set the sims3.app directory wrong place. You should have placed a patching directory
**sims3.app(application when you play the game)** in the Sims 3 folder
- Do you have the steam or origin or DVD version of the game ?
- What's your operating system ?
