Mine look ok so Im worried about the update.
The update didn't break anything for me. It helped raise preformance in starcraft 2 for me.

Just kidding it still pretty much runs the same. I get spikes where it drops down to the low 50's and high 40's. I feel like it is when the game is loading objects. Like even when the FPS is pretty stable it looks choppy especially edge scrolling.

Edges scrolling is how the game was made and when you have a higher end machine like we do you just notice all the flaws more! Including how bad some pixels are. And I agree with you in your other post, in darker lighting the picures and pixels look worse. Now since your playing Sunset Valley, the best pictures you can take, use the landgrab house. Their house has nice texture and lighting.

Ugh it like drops into the as low as the 30s when i move the camera UGHGHGHGHHG I just saw a persons game video and their camera movments are so smooth and she has a 780ti!

it's so upsetting because i don't like the art style in sims 4, and sims 3 has mermaids, robots and the future which are my favs! and i just can't get it to work
☹️

Not even the bots. I love the Bot Mode trait. My sims should all have the bot mode trait and randomly turn into cardboad robots.
I like the Fairy the best. I get annoyed with the mermaid issue because you have to live by the beach. They need saltwater to survive. Mermaids are cool if your playing Island Paradise. Since I am not I leave the mermaids out.
Yes the new sims is more cartoonish. I do like The new Bella but I like Morty from TS3 Better. The grapics in th enew game will be less demanding. Making the sims 3 more demaning on graphics hurt EA because so many people can not play the sims 3. Sims 1 and 2 ever computer could play those games. They are trying to do that again with TS4

Well apparently my computer doesn't like the glass floors from ITF because i took those out and my lot runs better (still not as good as it did). I don't even know what the deal is with this game it's not making any sense. Why would glass floors make my game run bad.
- Anonymous12 years ago
Hmmm? I have not seen this issue before. Ill post i the helpers corner and see if they know. I havent gone to ITF yet but Ill try later and see what happens with my game.
How did you know the glass floors were giving you a problem?
- Anonymous12 years ago
Zack, I asked in the helpers corner. The glass floors your having a problem with the are from the game not CC glass floors Correct?
What was your game doing before you removed the glass floors and what changed after you removed them
- 12 years ago
Well I put the ITF glass floors on the roof of a green house I built outside my sims home. I was then moving the game camera around and the FPS would drop into the low 40's everytime as opposed to just a few frames. I was really confused as to why it was doing that. Then i removed the green house and it ran more smoothly again. It was also during a full moon too so i will have to see if the glass floors in cunjuction with the full moon effect did it.

Ok this is strange. In Uni the problem changes lot to lot. My sim's home runs well, while the library runs awful. And the bonfire point type lot runs great. It seems the more the game has to load on each lot the slower it goes when moving the camera. But why is this the case? even when all the objects are loaded. hmmmm.
- Anonymous12 years ago
Thats wierd on the ITF. I havent built anything there.
As for Uni, I don't own it but I hear and see people posting it has a lot of bugs. Especially if you have wold adventures installed with uni

Even in the future world smaller lots run better then big lots. It's strange because my computer shoudn't have a problem with larger lots but it does.
- Anonymous12 years ago
This is just a given with how the game is made. The more sims you have in your house the more lag. How many sims are you playing in the same house? I don't know if the bigger lots cause more lag but it could be you have a lot of sims in one house
- 12 years ago
One person hahaha.
- Anonymous12 years ago
Well than I dont have an answer for you there! LOL If your game is lagging with one sim I cant imagine what 8 would do.
I tested out a 7 person household in Moonlight Falls before I even started playing. I had no lag but never saved either. as the save files get bigger the lag comes!
yeah but its laggy from the get go on a new saved game. it's drving me crazy.
- Anonymous12 years ago
I don't know what is causing yours. Mine is ok. very little lag???!!!

I am actually so sad :'( Help me EA!

Since you playing sunset valley Its the oldest town in this game. My card works better on the newer towns. I don't know if you want to drop the money but Roaring Heights is the newest town. It works perfect for me and I love that town

BTW I just took pics with that camel clolored wall and yes it looks blotchy.
I am playing IP now, it seems to run pretty good.
- Anonymous12 years ago
our cards run better are the newer ep's and worlds

But your FPS remains stable for the most part right? Do you have any drops?
- Anonymous12 years ago
No drops stays 58-62. I don't know why your vsync is not working properly. You got CC or mods?
I do but when I installed my expansions and sims 3 i tested it before putting in any mods and it acts the same way. Even when i do the factory reset it still does it. Thats what annoys me i can handle lag just not FPS drops.
