Gem cutting machine causing bugs and lag?

My roommate and I have both noticed this problem. Any household that we have the gem cutter in starts to become laggy the longer its in, and the lag will often cause it to crash. My roommate has already gone thru 3 worlds trying to figure this out. This is occuring in Moonlighty Falls. We do not have seasons, showtime, or pets, nor most of the content bundles. Although it could be something else causing this the gem cutter is the only thing the same besides the ageing being turned off. We have even adjusted our graphics in hopes that is the problem.
