xJC4Rx Well there's your issue: your computer doesn't have a proper graphics driver installed and is instead using the basic Microsoft driver, which is going to lead to terrible performance relative to what you would see otherwise. You'll need to reinstall the proper driver.
If you don't know how to do that, I can provide instructions, but I need to know what graphics card you have. Click Windows key-X, select the Device Manager, expand Display Adapters, and list what you see there. You may have one entry or two, depending on your setup.
Just in case there's a system issue underlying this, please also provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
