The Sims 3 Adobe

Hey everyone!

Firstly english isn't my first language, sorry for all mistakes.

I had installed sims 3 on my laptop, everything was okay. One day i had to reset my laptop, since then i hadn't installed sims 3. Today I installed, but when I wanna start game its say that i had to install Adobe's Flash Plug-in. I know that Adobe is no longer available, but how i can play??? I have CD's

Version The Sims 3: 18.0.126.021001- when i was doing research i find out that this is a old version, but it says that my game is updated.

Windows 11 Home

And second question- i am planning to buy a new laptop (idk when, i am saying that for a year) but it is possible that on a new laptop i would have this same problem?

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin

You do have the an old version of Sims 3, but the launcher doesn't always patch the game thoroughly.  Instead, please download the Super Patch, which EA made to properly patch the game.  This is a direct download link to EA servers:

    http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/TS3_1.67.2.0240xx_update.exe

Some browsers flag the download as insecure because it starts with http rather than https, but you can see from the URL that it points directly to EA servers.

As for whether this would happen on a new laptop, yes, if you installed via disc again.  But it should be as solvable then as it is now.  And if you've registered your content with EA, you could always download the game from the EA App instead.  The upside is no patching and no issue with Flash; the downsides are that you'd need to open the EA App and sign in every time you wanted to play; and that you'd be stuck with the launcher's pack selector, which is unreliable in that it tends to deselect packs without telling you.
