Grim reaper won't collect dead, camera cannot move out of area

We can try to reset the sim that died, that might fix the issue. Please, try following these steps:

1. Go over your mailbox
2. Press L2 and X
3. That should give you the option to reset a sim. You need to introduce the sim's name.

There is one problem with that solution (sorry).

The sim that has died is stuck outside the Camp Gnome Military Centre, and so I can't go to my mailbox, because my house is in another area of Moonlight Bay, and when I try to leave that area, a notification comes up saying that I can't travel to another place of the town because "A Sim is meeting Death."

Oh, and one more thing, the sim that died isn't in a ghost form, but it is just hovering there, but I know he's dead because every now and then other sims come to mourn him.

I would be grateful if you can help me with this situation.
